MuxLab Demos 4K Video Wall Fed by New Digital Signage Media Player and Controlled by new MuxLab Control App and MuxLab’s CMS

H.264/5 Video Wall Streams 4K Content Live at MuxLab Booth N538

INFOCOMM 2018, LAS VEGAS, BOOTH N538 – MuxLab flexes its AV over IP muscles with an in-booth display showing how complex signage projects such as video walls streaming 4K@60Hz content from the web can be installed, accessed and controlled with ease.

MuxLab’s new HDMI 2.0 Digital Signage Media Player (model 500769) accepts various sources including content streaming via the H.264/H.265 codec over a local Ethernet network, Internet, internal memory and external USB 3.0 memory devices. Video is up-scaled and output at 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) then delivered to a display or to an AV over IP transmitter to create a video wall using a 1G Ethernet switch. It operates in a low bandwidth and expandable manner, boasts an intuitive web interface and schedules automated tasks such as a timed playback of content. The player was designed for an exceptional ease of use, can be managed by MuxLab’s Content Management System (CMS) software, and supports an API for integration with third-party CMS solutions. Audio can be extracted and delivered on an SPDIF connector. New features enable the Media Player to be managed remotely via MuxLab’s CMS software running on a PC, tablet and smartphone.

At InfoComm, the Media Player feeds 4K content to MuxLab’s new HDMI over IP H.264/H.265 PoE Extender (model 500762), which offers advanced features such as video wall support, multi-view capability and IP-based camera support for a compelling visual experience.

When paired with the new MuxLab Control App, users can access and control the entire system’s connectivity using a smart tablet or phone, making video wall installations almost effortlessly easy. This new app provides multi-zone functionality, giving access to multiple locations in the palm of your hand. Users can graphically select sources, assign content to specific zones and more using simple, attractive and color-coded icons that represent all equipment in the system. Birds-eye room layouts simplify the task of identifying equipment within a zone. Repetitive tasks can be preconfigured and conveniently, instantly activated.
Attendees are invited to stop by the MuxLab booth at N538 to see how this comprehensive system simplifies the entire video wall implementation process. Any attendee seeking more information on installing, troubleshooting and managing AV over IP-based systems can learn more at one of two daily trainings at MuxLab’s booth. Scheduled at 10:30am and 3:00pm (4:00pm on Thursday) in the North Hall, booth 538, MuxLab product managers will provide a comprehensive overview of AV over IP infrastructures.
