NAB 2018 News: MuxLab’s New IP-Based Extender Supports ST-2110 and NMOS API

NAB SHOW, LAS VEGAS, NV – MuxLab’s new 3G-SDI/ST2110 over IP Uncompressed Extender (model 500767) will be showcased at NAB, demonstrating how uncompressed resolutions up to 3G-SDI (1920×1080 @ 60Hz) can be delivered anywhere when connecting through a 10Gig Ethernet Switch. This new solution interconnects and delivers unlimited combinations of HD-SDI, 3G-SDI and 6G-SDI cameras other video sources plus displays in point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations riding on an Ethernet network. Alternatively, this system can be used in combination with either CAT5/6 cable to extend SDI up to 30 meters or with multimode fiber cable up to 400 meters in more traditional point-to-point scenarios. A 1Gig Ethernet Switch port is provided for the connection of additional network devices; an RS232 port allows for the remote control of end devices.

The 3G-SDI/ST2110 over IP Uncompressed Extender supports SMPTE ST-2110 and the NMOS API for convenient third-party management. It is designed for use in all commercial broadcast AV systems including news, sports and TV stations. The MuxLab Pro Digital Network Controller (500811) can be utilized in conjunction with this Extender to vastly simplify system configuration and control. With the Controller, every device connected through the MuxLab SDI over IP Uncompressed Extender can be accessed and controlled remotely via smart phones, PCs or tablets.

A similar solution will also be available at NAB supporting HDMI inputs and outputs at uncompressed resolutions up to 4K/30.
