MuxLab Joins Mindstec to Showcase AV over IP Solutions at Mediatech Africa

Johannesburg, South Africa – July 19, 2017 – MuxLab and its distributor Mindstec will demonstrate newly released AV distribution, integration and extension solutions at Mediatech Africa. Designed for both broadcast and professional AV environments, MuxLab’s complete line of AV over IP products offer system integrators multiple solutions for transmitting audio/video signals over a local area network, regional network or around the world via the Internet.
MuxLab’s Video Wall over IP Extender Kits allow integrators to install and expand video walls using an IP-based infrastructure. A virtual infrastructure can be created and rearranged, making it cost-effective to up and down scale the entire system. A nearly unlimited amount of displays and sources can be supported. Integrators can utilize existing network infrastructures and add sources as needed, creating a highly flexible environment. Video resolutions up to 4K@60 are supported.
MuxLab’s AV over IP Extenders provide scalable methods of streaming AV over an Ethernet, enabling point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations in an expandable and cost-effective manner, freeing the system from cabling. Integrators can also opt to hard wire the system using CATX or fiber cabling depending on the models. Available solutions support HDMI (1080p/60, 4K/30, 4K/60), SDI (3G-SDI, 6G-SDI), KVM, DVI, DisplayPort and 2CH Audio.
For audio-based infrastructures, MuxLab allows professional audio signals to be distributed over an Ethernet. Analog audio can be sent to Dante-compatible professional audio equipment using an IP network as a bridge with the Dante/Quad Channel Audio PoE Gateway. The Audio/AMP over IP Extender with Mic delivers dual, two-channel analog audio and microphone via an Ethernet switch, and supports a 50 watt per channel amplifier at the receiver. Multiple audio sources and destinations can be virtually matrixed, allowing users to send audio to any destination.
When it comes to control, MuxLab’s ProDigital Network Controller simplifies system installation, configuration and management. It centralizes control using an intuitive web interface accessible on any smartphone or tablet. Just a tap or swipe of a finger selects and directs AV processes. Many devices can be managed with a single command. Presets can be created to instantly rearrange connectivity. Scripts can be easily developed via the Controller’s API to automate connectivity based on date and time for total hands-free operation. The Controller provides the building blocks to develop automation control applications, and centralized device software upgrades enhance convenience. Plus, the Controller’s API also allows third party control of MuxLab devices.
