MuxLab Brings New Methods of 4K over IP Signal Distribution to IBC

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS, IBC STAND A.30– Four new products from AV over IP innovator MuxLab make their debut at IBC this year. Each offers a unique way to deliver 4K AV with zero latency while taking advantage of advances in IP signal delivery.

The HDMI over IP Uncompressed Extender, 4K/60 (model 500768) connects one or many sources to one or many displays through a 10G Ethernet switch. Sources and displays can be easily added or removed as needed, allowing flexible up and down-scaling. Resolutions are supported up to 4K@60Hz and each source and display can be connected to the Ethernet switch from up to 100m away. One-to-one, one-to-many and many-to-many signal distributions are supported, allowing integrators to create virtual splitter and matrix configurations. Both transmitter and receiver provide a 1G Ethernet port that connects additional network devices. IR and RS232 enable remote control of source and sink end equipment. When paired with the MuxLab ProDigital Network Controller (model 500811) and the new MuxControl app, the entire AV over IP system is accessible and configurable from anywhere using a PC, smart phone or tablet, enhancing user accessibility and ease of use.

TheHDMI/VGA/USB over IP PoE Wall Plate Transmitter, UHD-4K (model 500777-TX) comes in a brushed metal 2-gang wall plate enclosure that supports HDMI, VGA and USB connectivity. It works with an IP-based AV system in which all connected equipment links to a local Ethernet. USB connectivity allows for the implementation of devices such as Smart Boards. AV equipment can be located up to 100m from the Ethernet switch via one CAT5e/6 cable. End users can switch between their HDMI and VGA inputs with automatic switching or by manual selection using the front panel or remotely over the network. HDMI 2.0 resolutions up to 4K (3840×2160)@30Hz or 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) and VGA resolutions to 1920×1200@60Hz with two-channel audio are supported.

The HDMI/VGA over IP PoE Wall Plate Transmitter, UHD-4K (model 500773-TX) supports HDMI and VGA ports in a clean and attractive 2-gang wall plate enclosure. HDMI and VGA equipment can be extended up to 100m from an Ethernet Switch using one CAT5e/6 cable. The wall plate provides one HDMI-In, one VGA-In and one 2CH audio-In. Resolutions are supported up to 4K (3840×2160)@30Hz or 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) for HDMI and 1920×1200@60Hz for VGA. This wall plate can be combined with other MuxLab’s AV over IP transmitters and receivers to create a fully IP-based, scalable system.  It’s ideal for both commercial and residential systems.

The HDMI over IP H.264/H.265 PoE Transmitter, 4K/30 (model 500763-TX) sends HDMI up to 100m to a local Ethernet network, and works in conjunction with MuxLab’s IP-based H.264/H.265 Receiver (model 500762-RX) to deliver audio and video up to 4K@60Hz in point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations. Video wall and multi-view capabilities are supported by this combination of transmitter and receiver in an expandable, cost effective manner. Exceptionally low bandwidth requirements allow for streaming AV over a local network, Wi-Fi, and the Internet. The receiver accepts H.264/H.265 video streams up to 4K@60Hz. Video is up-scaled from 1080p@60Hz or 4K@30Hz to 4K@60Hz for beautiful imagery.

The HDMI Audio Extractor with Dolby & DTS Downmixer (model 500439) delivers HDMI 2.0 video at resolutions up to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) to a local display. Digital Audio is extracted and down-mixed to deliver two channel analog audio using RCA L/R jacks. It works with Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS-HD Master Audio or LPCM up to 7.1 channels.
