MuxLab Products used at “David Bowie Is” Exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art of Bologna
The exhibition David Bowie Is, opened in London in 2013 and curated by the renowned Victoria & Albert Museum, arrived in Italy in July 2016 for its last European stop opening to the public in Bologna museums MAMBO. The exhibition that traces the life and David Bowie’s artistic evolution is a true multi-sensory experience that engages visitors with many and engaging video, projections and songs that have marked the artistic life of this music legend.
The realization of the multimedia system, heart of the exhibition, has been run entirely by 3P Technologies, re-working and adapting to the Bologna exhibition spaces the original London project. The company’s team chose to create a fully synchronized solution and to link it in the local network of Mambo museum, but completely manageable remotely. All of the many AV sources were installed in the rack and distributed for the realization of the exhibition, thanks to 34 extender MuxLab 500 457 on cat6, which allows the transmission of video signals on HDBaseT up to 100 meters at resolutions up to 4K @ 60Hz. The point-to-point connection of uncompressed HDMI signal, has been critical to the realization of such a prestigious project in an environment that required invisible but reliable solutions.
