MuxLab Joins Japan Material at InterBEE

CHIBA CITY, JAPAN  –  Japan Material will show broadcasters at the InterBEE show how MuxLab’s IP-based broadcast solutions definitely match the quality of traditional wired distributions. MuxLab’s HDMI over IP Uncompressed Extender, 4K/60 (model 500768) will deliver 4K video over IP on the show floor allowing attendees to see for themselves the quality of video compared to a direct link as well as an HDBaseT link.

“We know from our own R&D and engineering efforts that delivering 4K over an IP-based infrastructure is completely effective in demanding industry environments, and we want to share that with anyone who wants to learn more about the benefits of this newer signal distribution method,” said MuxLab’s Director of Product Management, Joe Teixeira.

Another live demo will use MuxLab’s HDMI over IP H.264/H.265 PoE Extender (model 500762) to create a streaming 4K quality 3×2 video wall in the Japan Material booth.

Other MuxLab solutions at InterBEE include the 3G-SDI/ST2110 over IP Uncompressed Extender (model 500767), which delivers uncompressed resolutions up to 1080p/60 anywhere when connecting through a 10G Ethernet Switch. It interconnects nearly unlimited combinations of HD-SDI and 3G-SDI equipment and displays in point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations, all riding on a 10GB Ethernet network. The system can be used in combination with either CAT5e/6 cable to extend SDI up to 30 meters or with multimode fiber cable up to 400 meters. A 1Gig Ethernet Switch port is provided for the connection of additional network devices; an RS232 port allows for the remote control of end devices. It is designed for use in all commercial broadcast AV systems including news, sports and TV stations. The device supports ST-2110, the new industry standard. The MuxLab Pro Digital Network Controller (model 500811) can be utilized in conjunction with this Extender to vastly simplify system configuration and control. With the Controller, every device connected through the MuxLab SDI over IP Uncompressed Extender can be accessed and controlled remotely via smart phones, PCs or tablets and the MuxControl App.

The HDMI 2.0/ST2110 over IP Uncompressed Gateway Converter (model 500774) gives broadcasters the ability to deliver next generation HDMI 2.0 signals throughout the studio at uncompressed 4K resolutions. Users can connect equipment to a 10G Ethernet network in which nearly unlimited sources and displays can be matrixed together to enable point to multipoint and multipoint to multipoint connections. Alternatively, users can also connect one AV source to one display from up to 400m in distance using one duplex multimode OM4 fiber with LC connectors. Both methods support uncompressed 4K resolutions @ 60Hz.  External audio can be inserted at the source and extracted at the display to accompany the video. One 1G Ethernet Switch port is provided for the connection of additional network devices, as well an RS232 port for the remote control of end devices. This model also comes in a version supporting 3G-SDI. A similar model will be available in Q2 2019 supporting 12G-SDI (model 500775).

A new 12G-SDI Fiber Extender Kit (model 500713) will also be shown, and sends a 12G-SDI signal up to 10km over one single-mode fiber cable at all specified bit rates. This Extender delivers digital video instantly between professional video equipment in the type of point-to-point video transmission most often used within television broadcasting and film studios. It is also desirable for use in post-production, mobile broadcasting vehicles, live events and CCTV applications. Video resolutions are supported up to 4K/60.
