MuxLab is expanding their range of Video over IP solutions to provide an alternative method of signal distribution in the commercial and residential markets. The addition of IP video signal management extends the choice of how AV signals can be distributed across varying cabling infrastructures giving the market both flexibility and choice of implementing a solution fit for purpose.
At INTEGRATED SYSTEMS EUROPE (ISE), FEBRUARY 2016, AMSTERDAM, MuxLab will showcase their new Video Wall over IP solution (part number: 500754).
This solution uses an off-the-shelf gigabit network (LAN) connection, distributing up to 16x AV sources to up to 200x displays with extension of up to 100m (330ft) between connected IP equipment, at up to 1080p resolutions with both RS232 and IR control signals. The ProDigital Network Controller (part number: 500811) provides configuration and set-up of the Video Wall system to the required user-defined array size, pre-sets, source / screen switching, and bezel adjustment, without the need for multi-screen control units, or expensive video wall monitors that contain this technology.
This style of distribution gives levels of implementation that most HDMI over CAT matrices cannot compete with, and can be installed onto pre-existing or new LAN infrastructures. The addition of new screens and sources does not mean redesigning the entire system, or purchasing a larger / more expensive distribution hub, just a new encoder per source, or decoder per screen.
Motion JPEG compression technology allows for a visually lossless image up to and including 1080p, and with single frame latency, this is already becoming a widely adopted technology for HD signal distribution.
The Video over IP family of products accept a variety of digital sources including HD/3G-SDI and HDMI, making this solution easily utilized for applications including digital signage or any other commercial/residential project where multiple sources and displays are required.
