MuxLab Introduces 8×8 Cat5e/6 Line Level Audio Matrix Switch at CEDIA

MuxLab 8×8 Audio Switch is Newest Addition to Existing Vast Line of Digital A/V Products

CEDIA, SEPTEMBER 11 – 13, 2014, DENVER, COLORADO — MuxLab Inc. is set to release its new 8 x 8 Cat5e/6 Line Level Audio Matrix Switch at CEDIA. The Switch supports audio switching between multiple audio sources and distribution via CAT5e/6 cable.

The Audio Matrix Switch uses RJ45 connectors and works in conjunction with MuxLab’s stereo audio baluns (500019, 500027, 500028 and 500030) and digital audio balun (500020). The product provides port buffering, unity gain compensation and ground loop isolation.

The Switch including its volume can be managed via push-button, IR, RS232, Ethernet, Web Server, or 3rd party software making it versatile and easy to control in any environment.

“The new Audio Switch is ideal for various residential and commercial applications”, said Marc Bohbot, MuxLab’s Director of R&D. “With its multiple management options the Switch is easy to control and can be used in many types of installations.”

The new Audio Switch joins the MuxLab Pro Digital family of products which also includes HDBaseT Extenders, HDMI 4K Splitters, Digital A/V & HDMI Based Multimedia Matrix Switches, HDMI over IP Solutions, and more.

As a member of the HDBaseT Alliance, many of MuxLab’s products offer HDBaseT switching and extension via one Cat5e/6 cable up to 230 ft @ 1080p. MuxLab also offers a full range of HDBaseT extenders with varying features. The line of receivers delivers a complete point to point or multipoint structured cabling solution.
