MuxLab Builds Expansive Video Walls using IP Technology for Easy AV Access and Control
LAS VEGAS, NV – ISC West attendees are invited to booth 1048 to witness how MuxLab’s flexible AV over IP products can be implemented to create a scalable, network-based video wall.
MuxLab offers a complete family of solutions that extend AV and control signals over an IP network to create a highly reliable, cost-effective infrastructure using standard LAN connectivity. By offering alternative methods of signal distribution in commercial installations, MuxLab allows security professionals to tap into existing or new IP infrastructures. This new ability to distribute AV signals across varying cabling infrastructures gives the market both flexibility and choice of implementing a custom, tailored solution.
“MuxLab’s AV over IP distribution solutions perform above and beyond standard CAT5/6-based matrix systems,” explained MuxLab President, Daniel Assaraf. “One key benefit is that integrators can easily up- or down-scale their installation for complete customization, limited only by the their network’s bandwidth.”
The Video Wall over IP Extender Kit with PoE (model 500754) is a newer addition to MuxLab’s AV over IP family, engineered to create a scalable, expandable video wall of any user configurable size. Demonstrated live at ISC West, it supports hundreds of displays, depending on network bandwidth, in any one video wall application. Each display can be extended up to 100 meters (330 ft.) using one receiver unit and a standard CAT5/6 cable.
All of MuxLab’s HDMI over IP Extender Kits with PoE use a standard gigabit network connection to distribute AV in a point-to-point, point-to-multipoint or multipoint-to-multipoint configuration supporting up to hundreds of sources and displays. Signals can be extended up to 100 meters (330 ft.) using one CAT5/6 cable per display.
Available models on display at ISC West support HDMI 1080p with IR (model 500752), HDMI 1080p, IR and RS-232 (model 500753), HDMI 1080p, HDMI H.264, IR and RS-232 (model 500757), HDMI 1080p, HDMI 4K/30, IR and RS-232 (model 500758), and 3G-SDI with audio (model 500756). High performance features include complete PoE support and HDMI audio insertion and extraction (model 500758 only).
A unique Audio/RS-232 over IP Extender Kit (model 500755) sends two-channel audio, RS-232 and IR over any LAN, with each destination able to be extended up to 100 meters (330 ft.) using a standard CAT5/6 cable.
Tying it all together is the MuxLab ProDigital Network Controller (model 500811), providing simple access to configure any video wall, with options to customize array size, pre-sets, source and display switching and bezel adjustment without the need for multi-screen control units, or expensive video wall monitors. Motion JPEG compression technology allows for a visually lossless image up to and including 1080p with single frame latency. The controller also manages the complete line of MuxLab’s AV over IP product family, offering customers a single platform for centralized control of a distributed network of video walls.
