MuxLab Announces New Gateway Converters with ST-2110 Standard
New Solutions Provide Flawless AV Distribution over IP Networks
Supporting 3G, 12G and HDMI 2.0 4K/60 4:4:4
LAS VEGAS, NV BOOTH C8948 – MuxLab introduces NAB attendees to two new Gateway Converters supporting both 3G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 interfaces on broadcast equipment. Each provides a reliable method of sending AV over a 10G Ethernet network, allowing broadcasters to take advantage of the benefits of IP-enabled distribution systems. This includes support for an uncompressed delivery of resolutions up to 4K for HDMI and 1080p for 3G-SDI while eliminating the costs associated with similar methods of signal distribution such as over fiber optic cabling systems, and freeing field cameras from long runs of cabled tethers.
MuxLab’s new 3G-SDI/ST2110 over IP Uncompressed Gateway Converter (model 500767) connects SDI cameras and other equipment to a 10G Ethernet network and supports the ST-2110 standard. AV from these sources can be instantly delivered to any display or receiver, allowing virtual matrix configurations with near zero latency. Support for uncompressed resolutions up to 1080p@60Hz and the ability to assign AV to any display on the network makes this a valuable performer in both the studio and field. Alternatively, this solution can also be implemented in a traditional point-to-point configuration sending HD video and audio to a display up to 30m in distance using CAT6a/7 cable or up to 400m using duplex multi-mode fiber.
MuxLab’s new HDMI 2.0/ST2110 over IP Uncompressed Gateway Converter (model 500774) also supports ST-2110, giving broadcasters the ability to manage AV connectivity anywhere. This model can be used on the same 10G Ethernet network, allowing the use of lower cost HDMI 2.0 equipment in a standard broadcast environment. It also supports one-to-many and many-to-many AV signal distributions when equipment is riding on the network. The unit can also be employed in the traditional point-to-point signal extension mode, extending uncompressed 4K@60Hz up to 400m using duplex multi-mode fiber.
Both models provide an RS232 port allowing for remote control of end devices, and a 1G Ethernet Switch port for the connection of additional network equipment.
To maximize control and increase user flexibility, these devices support a RestAPI and may be controlled by third party management platforms. The units bring new life to traditional source and display equipment in a deployed ST-2110 eco-system, allowing for the interconnection of traditional and ST-2110 based AV equipment.
