Use existing LAN cabling infrastructure with the HDMI over IP Extender with PoE

Montreal, Canada – August 30 2013 – MuxLab Inc. is excited to announce the launch of the newest addition to its HDMI line of products; the HDMI over IP Extender with PoE (model 500752). The kit allows an HDMI source to be connected via any Ethernet LAN thereby allowing AV broadcasts to be set up and changed without the need to install a dedicated cabling system.

The kit includes two units; an Encoder and a Decoder which work together to convert an HDMI bitstream into IP and then back to the original HDMI bitstream for playback via an HDMI display. This feature of the 500752 reduces the need for dedicated AV matrix switches and is accessible via any existing LAN connection.

“The 500752 extends 1080P HDMI signals up to 330ft and supports up 16 transmitters and 200 receivers”, states Marc Bohbot, MuxLab’s Director of R&D. “We’re expecting a big demand for this product on installations such as training and education facilities and video conferencing streaming”.
The 500752 supports multicasting and broadcasting and offers other features such as IR control. The product is HDCP compliant. For more information on this product.
